Cricklewood FarmCricklewood Farm is a scenic, fifth generation farm located on the north shores of Lake Ontario 3 km west of the picturesque town of Brighton. Beth and Brent Siwicky have operated the farm for over 25 years and take great pleasure in having families visit their farm and learn more about agriculture. The farm was purchased by Brent’s great, great grandfather in the mid-1800’s. It was passed down through the generations until Brent’s grandfather, Ken Macklam and his uncle, Doug Macklam ran the farm together. The orchard was started sometime in the early 1940s and a dairy herd was part of the operation until the mid-60’s when the herd was sold. Brent’s uncle Doug purchased the farm around 1970 from his father and now leases the farm to Brent and Beth. Since they took over the farm they have changed the orchard from wholesale to a retail, u-pick operation and have included two mazes, a farm market, pumpkin and squash patches, and a raspberry patch. Our season begins in Mid-July and continues until the last weekend in November. The first weekend in August marks the opening of the mazes. Covering 7 acres the two mazes challenge you to test your skills and try not to get lost. In Autumn abundant apples, pumpkins, gourds, and squash transform our farm into a place of colour and excitement. Enjoy picking the produce and be sure to visit our friendly farm market where you will find fresh picked apples, snacks, gift items and local baked goods, cheese, cider and honey. Visit our scarecrows and have fun in the country playground. Beth and Brent are committed to ensuring your visit to their farm will be fun and memorable. Whether you are a returning guest or you are first time visitors, they want you to feel welcome and have a fun filled fantastic day!!
